Section: 2 CCA 44 Adro. trigynus BM 716 - type locality From CR in 1990 - `compact, round leaves, red marks.' A beautiful subject but rather willing to drop leaves. A previously dropped leaf has rooted, unaided, on the surface of the compost and was potted-up after this photo was taken. Another leaf was dropped during repotting and should readily perform likewise. |

Section: 2 CCA 12 Adro. umbraticola - MZILIKATZI NEK, Transvaal - type locality. From CR in 1990, previously via PD (Philip Downs) in 2/1984. Adro umbraticola can have these plain, pale grey-green leaves and often produces a tuberous base. |

Section: 2 CCA 43 Adro. umbraticola - TRANSVAAL 'Umbraticola' meaning 'Shade dwelling', but in our greenhouse it thrives on good, English sunlight. A fine, slow growing, white, mealy-leaved clone with long, flattish leaves. Obtained from Jumanery in 1989 for £1.25 - What a bargain! - although much smaller in those days. An original ink drawing,produced in 1993, was the subject of an article by Chris Rodgerson, and published in the BCSS Journal; Vol. 12; No. 2; Page 42. The drawing was also published in the Czech Society Journal, Adenium, in 1993. |
