14 - CC 338 H. sordida. Ø 125mm

Purchased from JUM ex Sheilams, SA on 29/05/1988 for the then handsome sum of £12.50, we all believed it to be an FCP from a clump - but it carries no locality.

A lightly tubercled plant, it is now very large and is shown in a 3.5 inch pot. We had cored the original plant on 30/05/1988 but the core was lost. The base was planted in wet peat and was placed in the hot-box. That survived to grow on to the present specimen. A further 3 leaves were planted into wet sand over compost and placed in the hot-box where they rooted strongly and well. The results from one of these leaves can be seen on our Propagation from LEAVES page.

This was our first H. koelmaniorum, purchased from JUM ex SA on 01/06/1985 for £5.00 when it was a 6 leaved rosette. By 3/1987 it had 8+ leaves and by 1993 it had 21 leaves.
