CC 2542 H. arachnoidea v. scabrispina - species hybrid

CC 2542 H. arachnoidea v. scabrispina - Ladismith x Koup Station N.

This is a Cocozza Collection cultivar (or species-hybrid of two localities) from our seed- batch number CCO 493.

Several individual clones have been retained within the collection and others have been circulated.

Selective breeding of a small, very strongly-toothed clone with a larger, well-toothed clone has resulted in the best of both being merged.

CC 2546 H. arachnoidea v. scabrispina - Ladismith x Koup Station N.

Our species hybrid from our seed batch CCO493 and sown on 26/10/1995.

Outstanding for the strength of its spination.

These NEW photographs show the plant at Ø 65mm when it was sold at Auction at the Haworthia Society Convention in Leicester 2007

CC 2748 H. bayeri CC 2748 H. bayeri

A Cocozza Collection cultivar from our seed batch CCO 342, (CC 891 x CC 900)

49 seeds were sown on 29/08/1993 from which 9 plants were produced. All were quite variable and I retained 6 for future breeding programs.

Blushing, almost frosty, retuse surfaces with a bold network of wavering veins.

CC 3526 H. bayeri CC 3526 H. bayeri

A 1996 CC cultivar from a later seed batch, CCO 590, which yielded 31 seeds.

Parent plants were again (CC 891 x CC 900) and the seed were sown on 26/12/1996. Quite variable again with 3 clones being retained.

Profuse, fine veins on a rugose window.

The decorative leaves tend to split if this clone is over watered.

CC 3902 H. bayeri, species hybrid, grown from our own seed (CCO 604) produced from selected lacy-veined parent plants and sown in 1996.

and a closer view...

This high quality species hybrid bears textured leaves, grows very flat and is slowly increasing in size.

These three NEW photographs show the plant at Ø 70mm when it was sold at Auction at the Haworthia Society Convention in Leicester 2007

CC 2337 H. emelyae v. picta. CC 2337 H. emelyae 'picta'

Seed batch CCO 362 (CC 821 x CC 759)

7 attractive but variable plants ex 38 seeds sown 29/08/1993.

This particular clone produced an offset at an early age. When the offset was removed a further, small offset was also found hiding, was separated and retained.

Just as well - as I hear the removed head had its problems and has been converted into leaf propagation material!

CC 2692 H. emelyae

CC 2692 H. emelyae

Grown from Cocozza Collection seed CCO 399 which was sown on 26/06/1994.

One twin-headed plant was produced from the four seeds.

The twin-heads have been separated now and I hope to be able to propagate this rather nice, small-headed clone in due course.

From selected parent plants with no localities, so perhaps it's more comfortable on this CV's & Hybrids page?
