Haworthia are succulent plants endemic to southern
Africa, so they require the shelter of a frost-free greenhouse in the UK and
similar climatic areas.
Many of them can be successfully grown on a well lit windowsill.
The best colouration and compact growth is,
however, easier to achieve when
they are given the
better light conditions found on the top bench of a lightly shaded UK greenhouse.

The taxonomy pages are intended for my own education and reference during the building of
the haworthia pages.
Hopefully, they may be of assistance to you too.
